Diego is a handsome young man with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. He has
a smooth face, unable to grow much facial hair. His hair has a long braid down
the right side behind his ear, the symbol of a padawan learner. He is of
average height (1.81m), and has an athletic build (92kg). He excelled in
gymnastics and acrobatics, and carried those skills into his Jedi training. He
has been treated as near royalty since moving to Coruscant since before he
could remember. He’s been raised in rich surroundings and at times has
trouble embracing all of the Jedi traditions.

BIOGRAPHY
Diego was born at the height of the Mandalorian Wars in 6 BBL on Dantooine. His father was a republic commando while his mother
and in-laws kept their farm on Dantooine up and running. It was eventually acquired by Nurik Sandral for much more than it was worth
in order to keep a rival from buying it for himself. With the money, the extended family bought a residence near the Jedi Enclave.
Although the local masters identified the boy’s potential, the fighting took away most of the would-be teachers. It was understood that
when the fighting was over, Diego would be turned over to the Jedi Order, but until then he would stay with his family.
Three years later, Romo Starlighter was killed in the final battle of the Mandalorian Wars on Malachor V, along with thousands of
others. He died having never seen his son. Diego’s grandfather was elected later that year to serve on the Galactic Senate
representing Dantooine. The end of the Mandalorian Wars was immediately followed by the start of the Jedi Civil War. Having
already lost her husband to war, Diego’s mother refused to turn him over to the Jedi and took him to Coruscant with her and her
family. There he was raised in comfort as the grandson of a senator.
His grandfather served as the senator for Dantooine even after Darth Malak laid most of the planet to waste in an orbital
bombardment aimed at destroying the Jedi Enclave. Dantooine again made galactic news after the last of the Jedi Masters were slain
by Darth Traya in the ruins of the old Jedi Enclave. It was not long after that when the news of Darth Traya’s defeat reached the
capital and Jedi Master Vima Sunrider restored the Jedi Order in 6 ABL. Now 12 years old, Diego’s mother told him of his past, and
how he was originally meant to be trained as a Jedi. With so few left in the galaxy, the normally high standards for admission had been
relaxed. She left it up to Diego to choose his path, that of a politician like his grandfather or that of a Jedi. He chose the Jedi.
The Lost Jedi divided themselves between the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and the Telos Academy. He began his apprenticeship under
Mical and was a quick study. He had to spend considerable time unlearning his former teachings and detaching himself from his
former life, but once he was able to exhibit control, his training progressed. After eight years on Coruscant, he was transferred to
Telos to finish his formal training.
